Matt Garcia, OMG’er #38
When did you start at OMG? May 2017
As a Sales Executive, what are your responsibilities? Part of my day consists of collaborating with leaders in the dealer, distributor, and decorator space. My mission is to listen to their business needs and recommend the best solution our platform has to offer. Daily tasks include discovery calls, virtual demos, and strategy meetings. I also get to work cross-functionally with our onboarding JumpStart Team, account managers, marketing, and developers.
How did you hear about OMG? Spring of 2017 I met with a friend for lunch, who happened to bring along an OMG Team member. They both spoke highly of the company and it didn’t take long to convince me to join.
Favorite part of working at OMG? I get to work with some cool people, both internally and in my territory. I’ve learned so much from current and former Teammates. It’s also so rewarding to work with business leaders who are looking for new, innovative ways to serve their clients.
Describe OMG in three words: Growing. Collaborative. Flexible.
What do you enjoy most about working on the Sales Team? We have a dynamic Team that’s eager to learn and help each other out. I can always count on them to have a suggestion for any roadblock.
What’s the #1 thing every prospective OMG’er should know? The company is growing fast. There are many challenges to overcome and victories to claim as we continue to take over the industry.
Enough about work. Favorite hobbies? I enjoy playing basketball, golfing, skiing, and traveling.

When did you start at OMG? January 2018
As a Sales Executive, what are your responsibilities? Prospecting and selling to new accounts. My main responsibilities are giving demos, strategizing, and planning opportunities for prospects.
How did you hear about OMG? My cousin was in leadership with adidas Team sales. He told me about OMG and how they were doing some really interesting work in an emerging space in the market. He said that he thought it might be a good fit so he connected me with Kent (OMG’s founder). I flew down to Dallas from St. Louis for a meet and greet with Kent. The next thing I know, my casual meeting with Kent turned into a full-on interview and before I knew it, they were offering me a job on the Brands Team.
Favorite part of working at OMG? The people, hands down. Although, free snacks and sparkling water is a nice perk!
What makes OMG different? The rapid growth and investment in the company. New opportunities are popping up left and right and the company just keeps growing.

What do you enjoy most about working on the Sales Team? The opportunity. There is a lot of space out there for OMG to bring on more clients, and the way we’re evolving the platform to fit those needs is really promising. More prospects = more sales for us!
What’s the #1 thing every prospective OMG’er should know? If you’re able to adapt, challenge yourself, and have the desire to grow your skillset, OMG has a lot to offer you.
Enough about work. Favorite hobbies? Video games of all kinds, live country music, breweries, and golf (even though I’m a horrible golfer).
