Feature Update: Product Quantity Limits

We’re excited to introduce you to our newest feature: Product Quantity Limits. You can now limit the available quantity of products for a single store or across multiple stores!

Accessories, equipment, pre-decorated garments, and less common sizes of clothing and shoes make a habit of sitting on the shelf for far too long. Product Quantity Limits is great for selling these products while ensuring you don’t oversell to your customers. Once a product reaches a quantity level of zero, you can automatically remove it from your product offerings. You will even receive emails letting you know when a product reaches a specified stock level.

Set Global Product Quantity Limits

On every product you’ll notice a new tab labeled “Quantity Limits”, this is where you can set and track your product quantities on the variant level. Updating a product’s variant quantity will update it globally. For example, if you have five undecorated bucket hats that you’re trying to get rid of, you can offer them in ten different stores to help sell them even faster.

Once a product sells out, it will be taken off all stores to prevent you from overselling to your customers. If you anticipate re-stocking a product, you can set it to continue selling even after it’s sold out.

Set Single-Store Product Quantity Limits

More often than not, you have leftover team or group specific apparel. If you have ten leftover spirit-wear t-shirts with a specific team’s logo, you can limit a product’s availability to a single store. You can do this by creating a custom product or adding a custom variant (size and color) to a Verified Product or Dealer Product.

Receive Stock Alert Email Notifications

It’s a great feeling knowing that you finally got rid of that neon pink 5-XL hoodie that’s been collecting dust in your warehouse. If you want to know what’s finally sold out or close to selling out, you can opt to receive stock alert emails. In the OMG app, head over to My Account and navigate to Email Notifications. From here, you can select when you would like to receive stock alert emails and how often.
